LEAVE NO TRACE

leave no trace is a good movie. 

A veteran named Will lived with his 13-year daughter (Tom) in a jungle, with self-built camp. Unfortunately, they were found out because it is illegal to live in a public park. 

They were offered to live a normal life and in someone else’s house. Will refused to use TV, use Phone, and they slept under the sky even there are beds available for them. Will does not want to adapt to the world and he thinks at least, he can have his own thought uninfluenced. 

….. 

Will still wants to live in a jungle. so together they went back. Not knowing where they were heading, they were stuck in a forecast. Cold, hungry, and rained by the storm, Tom felt very bad and she cried (she is afraid that they may both die). Will loved Tom and he put her feet beneath his cloth to warm her up. 

Later, they found an unused cabin. Without food, Will decided to go out to buy some food. But Will failed to come back that night. Tom found him trapped in a tree, severely wounded. Tom sought some help from an old lady who lived in RV and another veteran saved Will’s life. 

Tom enjoyed her stay in the camping site. However, after couple of days, Will listened to a song, where there is a lyrics saying “I am going now, not coming back”, …….. 

Tom and Will tried hard to live together. There is no doubt they loved each other….

My thought, 

After war, many veterans suffer from PTSD and when the war is over. They have to deal with the pain (the stress, the nightmare, and etc.) The formal Seal, Eric wrote a book called “resilience” which is about his correspondence with his friend to save his friend and help him reconnect to the society and re-find his purpose in a normal life.
