DIFFICULTIES AND POVERTY

A salesman Chris makes a living by selling portable bone density scanners. His wife is a hotel maid. They together raise a 5-year old son, Christopher. Sales do not go very well and the little family has suffered a lot financially. Quarrels become more frequent, and conflicts arise. 

Here are the things that happened to him and his family

  1. The landlord knocked the door and asked for delayed rental payment
  2. The wife tried hard to support the family, but it was still not enough
  3. Chris had to apply for tax extension. 
  4. Wife left Chris and Christopher and went to NewYork to have a job due to worries and anxiety and disappointment of Chris. 
  5. Chris and his son had to move to a cheaper apartment
  6. Chris and his son were kicked out from the apartment and they became homeless
  7. He had to sleep in the washroom in a subway station
  8. The Government took his money because he did not pay tax on time. 
  9. Sometimes he had to sell his blood to sustain his family. 

OPPORTUNITY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS

When he looked around he found happiness and laughter in the rich families and he was determined to give his family a better life. He took every opportunity to talk to successful people and wanted to find out how they make money and succeed. 

He remembered his talent when he was a child. He was good at math and he was ranked number 1 when he served in Navy. he studied and worked hard and finally succeeded.

We can not just want happiness, you have to ACTIVELY PURSUE happiness.
